Through its unique and inspiring performance, “Distortion” delves into the complex relationship and tension between nature and reality, as well as the conflict that arises between artificial intelligence and living beings. This captivating piece aims to reflect on how avatarism and the strengthening of virtual identity create a disconnection from reality. The performance delves into how technology and virtual identities affect our relationship with nature. Creating a surreal yet disorienting atmosphere by juxtaposing natural elements such as plants and landscapes through videos and projections with the artist, who is portrayed as a reflection of avatars or virtual representations of humans. The artist sees himself represented as disconnected from nature, interacting with it superficially or destructively.
